Located in Goldsboro, North Carolina, Performance East is 1 hour southeast of Raleigh and serves customers interested in fresh and saltwater boating, motorcycling, utility and all-terrain vehicles.

Since 1994, the family-owned dealership has employed two generations of the Weeks family – husband and wife founders Neil and Mary, sons Travis and Stuart, and Stuart’s new wife Ashley.

Travis, Performance East Manager, said his family is not only born and raised in Goldsboro, but also loves spending their free time enjoying the outdoors like all their customers. It is because of this love for the outdoors, he said, that they wanted to bring the Sea Chaser line to the dealership.

“Sea Chaser is something that we felt like is affordable to the average weekender,” said Travis. “The owner of Carolina Skiff, LLC. [the parent company of Sea Chaser] said it well, saying he wanted to make boating affordable for the average guy, and what we were looking for was a nice manufacturer that builds a quality boat with a good price.”

Travis said Sea Chaser is versatile for a variety of boating activities in Goldsboro and the surrounding communities.

“We have a lot of lake boating, watersports, and then we have a lot of coastal, offshore, inshore, and also a lot of river activity,” he said.

Performance East is also slated to open a second dealership in Cedar Point, North Carolina – a coastal town just north of Swansboro with easy access to Emerald Isle, Bogue Sound and Onslow Bay.

Travis said they chose this location because it’s a place the Weeks family has vacationed at for years.

For customers interested in Sea Chaser but concerned about social distancing, Travis said Performance East offers a variety of solutions, including virtual walk-throughs, home deliveries and even remote product demonstrations away from the dealership – all in an effort to make the buying experience germ and stress-free.

“We are happy to do demos or whatever we need to do for our customers,” said Travis.
